Clínica de Arte Contemporáneo con la Artsita plástica FABIANA BARREDA.
Se desempeñó como realizadora de ambientaciones y como diseñadora de interiores.
Realiza instalaciones y arte efímero e interviene espacios con recursos estéticos.
A pesar de su espíritu ecléctico, en sus obras se ve una gran influencia de la estética neoclásica integrando este espíritu retro con la vanguardia.
Su tendencia la lleva a recuperar materiales de época resignificándolos .
Se destaca por utilizar fibras nobles y una paleta impregnada de tonalidades niebla y rosados.
Sus obras generan una magia evocadora de sutileza, solemnidad y nostalgia, imprimiendo así su sello personal.
Colaboró con algunos artistas de la escena local e internacional en dirección de arte como
JOSHUA WINKLER media director of In The Mo (NY) y CODY DALEY (Australia).
Obtuvo menciones para el Centro Poiesis (Milano), a cargo del diseñador industrial PAOLO BETTINI en la FADU.
Para el concurso de mesas navideñas organizado por el FOUR SEASONS (Buenos Aires)
Y para el concurso de Derechos humanos organizado por Amnistía internacional, bajo el lema “Educando para la libertad”
Se han publicado algunos de sus trabajos como diseñadora de interiores y espacios en revistas como “LIVING” y “SOPHIA”

TRANSLATION:
Guillermina Seyahián has a BA in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She studied architecture for two years and later stage design with the architect Gaston Breyer. She also took part in the Contemporary Art Clinic given the curator Fabiana Barreda in (place and date).
Guillermina has worked as an interior decorator creating settings and installations, as well as taking part in “spaces for esthetic ideas” instilling the magic which characterizes her work, giving it that personal touch which evokes subtlety and glamour. Her style leads her to recuperate 20th century materials imbuing them with new meaning by using quality materials and choosing colors where rose and misty tones predominate. Despite her eclectic spirit, her work is marked by a neoclassic and 19th century esthetic influence, integrating this retro spirit with state-of-the-art styles.
She has worked in collaboration with international artists such as Josh W… (USA) and Codey Daley (Australia) in artistic design. She has also received mentions in exhibitions at the Poiesis Centre run by Paolo Bettini at the University of Buenos Aires, the competition for Nativity Scenes organized by Four Seasons (Buenos Aires) and for the competition of Iso-Logos organized by Human Rights Watch on the theme Educating for Freedom. Some of her creations as a decorator have been published in magazines such as Living and Sofia.
Rocio Cutzarida and Gaz Cabrera collaborate in her projects.
P O L A R I T I E S (un)DRESSED
A proposal for “installations” where the dress is the principal centre-piece, generating an entertaining and surrealist climate.
This Interaction activates the viewer’s fantasy, like a trigger for the collective imagination in relation to the universe of the POLARITIES in our essential nature: (un) dressed
I recuperate materials from former times giving them a new significance, generating a subtle magic which evokes an atmosphere of fragile tension, which imprints a personal touch.
In spite of my eclectic spirit, my work is deeply influenced by the neoclassic esthetics which unite the retro with the vanguard.
The thread which links my ideas and my works is usually rose-coloured and misty tonalities.
At the moment, my days alternate between Art Administration and the creation of atmosphere in ‘spaces’ and ´installations´ using esthetic and original resources, incorporating different elements and tools which the study of art and design have given me.
In the Polarity (un) dressed,I have been retrieving clothes from the strangest and most unusual places, such as from a Parisian collection belonging to my great aunt (in this case Courrèges), from my Danish friend and from different old chests found in the Buenos Aires suburbs.
A resumé of my studies
After studying Architecture for two years I left the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) with a degree in Graphic Design. Later I enlarged my horizons in the direction of Art and studied ’Scenic and Stage Design’ with GASTON BREYER, which I complemented with courses on ‘Clothing and Characterization’ with ALICIA GUMA and MIGUEL ANGELELI at the Colón Theatre. Recently I have studied ‘Art Administration’ with ALEJANDRA ISLER and taken part in a Contemporary Art Clinic given by the curator FABIANA BARREDA.
